To add insult to injury, average hourly wages rose by 6.3% since last year, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. These earnings may continue to rise by 3% to 6% this year without an end in sight. Because of this, affordable, trustworthy, competent carpenters, handymen, and tradesman — those who will get the job done right with the right materials the first time — are in short supply.
